I'm exploring how games can help us build habits that leave a lasting positive impact on our lives. Playne is my first game and it was born out of my love for video games, and my interest in helping others learn and build a practice of meditation & mindfulness.

What is Meditation?

Meditation helps us to realise and better relate to our thoughts, sensations, feelings, and perceptions. This wisdom can help us to be more open and loving to ourselves. When we relate better to ourselves, we begin to relate better with everything else.

How can I learn to meditate?

Playne's core meditation uses tried and tested meditative techniques with  innovations that harness the interactivity of games. Playne also includes guided audio meditations, that are more direct and helps to realise and understand the different aspects of your being.

But you don't have to use Playne. There are many free apps and videos that teach you some of these fundamental techniques. I recommend Insight Timer, because they offer a wonderful range of free meditation lessons.

Why Learn Meditation with Playne?

Because Playne is designed to help you to learn and build a habit of meditation.

The gameplay is designed to make habit-building easier. The interactive nature of Playne also makes it easier for you to learn meditation.

What are the benefits of meditation?

Meditation can have a direct impact on how we relate with ourselves, our thoughts, sensations, feelings and emotions.  When we have a healthier relationship with ourselves, we can better cope and overcome overwhelming emotions and stress. This can have a direct, positive impact on both our mental and physical health.
